A group project I created while in school won a 2010 Student Gold Addy! I am so stoked about this! I created the logo and collateral package for Upside & did the layout on the first spread of the brochure. All the winners were printed in today’s paper and I ran out and bought three because I was so excited. :]
Congratulations to everyone that won an award last night!

Thanks to Cordelia & Deigha for being awesome partners to work on this project with!

I can’t quit eating these veggie pitas. Pita bread, tomato, cucumber, avocado, sprouts & ranch dressing. I’ve had this for lunch every day this week. Yum!

It is either raining or snowing every time I look outside. I am so ready for spring & summer!

Snow day self-portrait.

The moon was insane the other night. I tried to get a photo of it while Greg was driving and this was the best I could do. I think it turned out pretty neat, though.

Kiki is always eating.

My husband & I went out for pizza the other night and I really loved how these photos turned out. All the neon, weird lighting, fake plants and televisions made for some good atmosphere.

Today, I have to do something I have been dreading for awhile now. I will be getting my wisdom teeth taken out.. ahhh! I am a huge weenie so anything involving a doctor has me freaking out for days. I won’t be posting anymore this week but expect to see me back next Monday.
Have a great week & happy holidays everyone!
I finally went out and bought a new camera over the weekend. I am so beyond excited to have this fancy new camera! I had been using a Sony Cybershot that I got as a high school graduation gift from my Dad in 2003. This camera took a beating, too. I threw it in my bag without a case, dropped it more times then I can remember, took it all over the world and used it daily for six years. This is one tough little guy. It’s still working perfectly fine, but I decided when a friend’s camera phone had more megapixels than my camera that it was time to upgrade.

When I started shopping for a new camera I knew it had to be another Sony and I was really set on that. I didn’t want an SLR because they are a bit too far out of my price range at the moment, but I wanted something similar. I came across the Sony Cybershot DSC-H20 and read all the great reviews and videos talking about this camera. I went to the store and played around with it a bit and knew that this was it. Also, I never knew this, but you can type in a camera model on Flickr and it will show you photos taken with that camera. Neat, huh?!

I am so happy with this camera and it takes amazing photos. I’m still not used to having a camera that takes such crisp, precise photos in low light with my unsteady hands. I can’t wait to get out there and take pictures for the blog. No more grainy photos… yay!

I don’t know if you’ve seen this photo floating around of these AMAZING, perfect rainbow pancakes. Well, I did and I thought “Oh, yeah. I can totally make those! No problem.”

Yeah. It’s a little harder than it looks. Mine may not be as pretty, but at least they tasted good! :]
